SecureCam® is an impregnable ultra-heavy duty all-stainless CCTV camera housing, with polycarbonate ballistic window, designed to completely protect cameras from physical attacks and extreme weather conditions at hostile, untended sites. Not only is it the only housing guaranteed forever against breakage and breaching, but the guarantee includes customer’s camera against damage and theft. Identical brackets on adjustable mirrors have proven effective and invulnerable for many years in the tough crucible of New York City subway stations. No other camera housing offers this ultimate degree of total protection. It is
UL listed and IP-68 rated (highest awarded) ) for total water and dust exclusion. |

| Test Results for Tilt and Torque Resistance |
All SecureVue’s adjustable-aim devices share its patented bracket (adjustable mirrors and cameras enclosures). Test results prove that it withstands a force of 500 lbs. without tilting, and that the mounting head a torque force of up to 500 lbs. without twisting (rotating). This means that a very large vandal, hanging from the housing or mirror, cannot unalign its aim. |
| Construction and Features |
| The camera housing is constructed of cylindrical stainless steel and has a ballistic three-ply polycarbonate window. It is designed to deter the most determined terrorist, thief or vandal intent on breaking or damaging the housing and/or stealing the valuable camera inside, and also to protect video cameras from outdoor elements and weather extremes.
|
| The housing mounting bracket is fashioned to protect security devices for which aim is critical. The housing barrel is designed to rotate. (This capability is covered by the second patent.) This feature enables a right-side up monitor image when housing is ceiling or wall-mounted, and compensates for angled or irregular mounting surfaces. It also allows for selection of camera image as a horizontal or vertical format. |
| Video Analytics False Alarm Prevention |
| An important new function for SecureVue’s ultra heavy-duty camera housing, SecureCam® — is to help prevent video surveillance false alarms in analytics applications by preventing the slightest wind-induced camera movement.
|
| Even the smallest wind gust-caused motion of the camera itself simulates the movement of a distant object within its field of view, resulting in a “nuisance” or false alarm. As a security expert has observed, “Analytical video surveillance can shift costs from personnel peering at monitors to pursuing phantom alarms.” |
